Jason Cook
Director/Consultant/Developer

Jason graduated in Electronics and Communications Engineering in 1992 and worked with the Hydro-Electric Commission for a number of years before moving into the IT industry. He has 16 years experience as a trainer, developer and network systems consultant in Microsoft technologies. Jason established Datawise Consulting Pty Ltd in 2000 and has overseen the growth of the company.

Apart from managing the business aspects of the company, his current position as Managing Director of Datawise Consulting involves project management, systems design and architecture, and implementation of Windows-based networks, custom software design and web applications design using Microsoft technology. He also has a strong level of experience and interest in database design, performance optimisation and reporting as well as overall IT systems consulting.

Phil graduated in Electrical Engineering in 1992 and worked with the Hydro-Electric Commission for a number of years before moving into private industry where he obtained an additional 7 years years of experience in engineering, predominantly in R&D. In 2003, Phil joined Datawise in 2003 as a network systems engineer, software development engineer and consultant in Microsoft technologies. He has been lead developer on many substantial projects including the Aid-IT Monitoring and Evaluation Information System, Huon Aquaculture Group Information System, Queensland Minerals and Resources Academy Student, Teachers and Industry Mentors System, The Hobart Anaesthetic Group Billing System Upgrade and Eclipse Integration (Medicare online claims) among others. Phil is co-director of Datawise an as such plays a vital role in the management and running of the business.

Sumeet joined Datawise in 2009. His area of experience is developing Windows and Web applications using .NET technologies, IIS and Microsoft SQL Server. He completed his Masters in Information Technology at The University of Tasmania in 2008. Sumeet is a Microsoft certified professional and specialises in .NET framework development. Sumeet has been involved with many projects whilst working with Datawise including Membership management applications for Diabetes-Tasmania, Diabetes-ACT, and Australian Education Union-Tasmania, web applications and reporting for Banjo's Corporation, online e-commerce website for Pressing Matters among others.

Joseph worked for Datawise for almost a year in 2006 before going on to further education. Joseph joined Datawise again in 2011 on a part-time basis. Having completed certificate III in network administration Joseph is now working towards towards acquiring Certificate IV and Diploma qualifications in network egineering over the coming year.
