As part of the implementation of AEULink, coding was completed to import all relevant membership records from the previous membership system. The system was developed largely as a Windows Application and was built using SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2010 using Visual Basic.NET.

In early 2009 we worked on a joint project with CubeSMS and the Department of Education, Tasmania. The Deparment of Education wanted to send SMS messages to parents/guardians when a student is absent. We wrote a solution using ASP.NET 2.0 that interfaced with the Department Of Education’s web services. CubeSMS provided us with a web service gateway to send out SMS messages through Telstra’s network. The SMS responses were received at an email address and later downloaded to a SQL Server database. The solution was successful and the Department of Education used our solution as a proof of concept.

In 2009, the system was extended with many new reports to assist the franchisee consultants. These new reports include all the key performance indicators for the business as a whole as well as each individual store.
